• Anderson Twp: stave hauling going on. Cannelton Enquirer, July 27, 1689.

• _ Clark Twp: Deluge last week. Several parties lost a good many logs by the waters, caused by boom wreaking.
• Charlie Splater lost money on logs. Cannelton Enquirer, Sept. 21, 1889.

• Clark: A.J. Adye is still “hulling out” staves by the thousands.

• Ranger: Albert Blanford and the Gatchel Brothers are yarding staves on the Ike Cronin farm.
• Will Basinger and brothers are running a stave bucker. Cannelton Enquirer, Feb. 8, 1890.
• Tobin Twp: George Daum Sr. and one of his sons were engaged in hauling wood from the timber to the house & about 4 O’clock the old gentleman started with a load •••• when near the house, his son’s wife heard Mr. Daum calling loudly to the team to stop •••• she saw that Hr. Daum had slipped from the load of wood down onto the tongue of the wagon and the team seemed frightened and were starting to run. Mr. Daum fell ••• and one of the wheels passed over him ••• After 24 hours Buffering, he died. Cannelton Enquirer, Feb. 25, 1890
