The Cannelton Enquirer records the fatal burning of Miss Angelia Schneider, near that place. The young lady was engaged in burning some grass when her clothing caught fire, the flames soon enveloped her person, burning her in a horrible manner.

Cannelton , Ind. , Jan. 29. – Captain Titus Cummings, a veteran of the war of the rebellion, is dead at his home in this city. He was 77 years old. He was a native of Perry county, and spent practically all of his life here in business and in holding various offices, having always been an active politician.

Funeral    services    for Mrs. Louis Birchler, 49, who died at her home in Twelfth street here last night, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at St.. Paul’s Catholic church. The Rev. Fathers Vollmer and Herold will be in charge.   Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.

MONNAS NEYENHAUS

TELL, CITY, Jan. 29. 1937

Monnas Neyenhaus, 62. died Wednesday at his home near Newtonville. He was a coal miner and had been ill since Dec. 10.

Surviving are three sons. John and Alfred of Tell City and George of Cannelton and four daughters. Anna Gunn of Cannelton. Lillian Miller of Dexter, Ky.. Maggie Bolin and Agnes Garect of Cannelton; also two sisters. Maggie Hauser and Minnie Kieser of Cannelton.

MRS. PEARL BERGER

TELL CITY. Jan. 29. 1937

Mrs. Pearl Berger, 43, died at her home in Troy Tuesday following an illness of influenza. Surviving are one son. John Schwartz of Troy; three brothers, Carl Schmuck of Jasper, Guy Schmuck of New York and Robert Schmuck of Cleveland.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church in Troy with the Rev. G. C. Whitely of this city In charge.
