TELL CITY – Donora L. “Donnie” Boerste, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

She was born in Cannelton Sept. 12, 1933, to the late Stanley and Louise (Miles) Arnold. Also preceding her in death was a daughter in infancy, Kimberly Boerste.

A 1951 Tell City High School graduate, she married Ralph Boerste Jan. 15, 1951. She worked as a secretary at the Tell City Clinic, at Mildred’s Dress Shop in Tell City, managed the Kopper Kandy Kettle and retired from General Electric in 1975 after 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Spread Education Program. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, taking drives, going out to restaurants, collecting antiques, making crafts and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ralph Boerste of Tell City; a son, Dean Boerste of Tell City; a sister, Deanna Freeman of Cannelton; a niece and a great-niece.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. The Rev. Timothy Sweeney OSB officiated.

LEOPOLD – Charles Albert James, 82, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, in Leopold, at the home of his son. He was born June 17, 1933, to the late Albert and Helen (Blum) James.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond James.
Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran and a life-long dairy farmer. He was married Nov. 21, 1975, to Margie Hurm, who survives. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Charlie enjoyed his chickens and loved to sell eggs at the farmers market. He also liked spending time with his grandchildren and supporting Perry Central sports.
Surviving are his wife, Margie James of Leopold; his children, Derek James (Tara) of Leopold and Dena Buchanan (Don) of New Orleans, La.; his sisters, Mildred Jobe and Carol Ann James (Dick), all of Leopold; and his grandchildren, Chase, Carter, Caden, and Lyla Mae James, Cassidy and Conan Buchanan.
