Tell CITY OPERA HOUSE

THE OPERA HOUSE AND TURNER HALL as it appeared in 1905. This is the building opposite Werner Motor Company in the 300 block of Main Street
. The famous Wendell Hofmann garden is located south of the building on the left. The name of W. Hof­mann may be seen on the sign above the gate extending from the word “Opera” up to the old-fashioned light in the center of the gate. This garden and the Opera House and Turner Hall was the center of social activities in the days of early Tell City.
