St. Joseph was established as a mission nearer to St. Mark in 1890. A church was built in 1891 on property donated by Julius Dauby. First families included the Lashers. Devillezes. Kluesners. Meuniers. Lamkins. Rhodes, Goffinets, Jarboe’s. Daubys and Deoms. In the 1960’s St. John and St. Joseph combined so that every parish in Perry County could have a resident pastor. Father Ralph Sraashelm led this consolidation. | |
