Russell Raymond Lomax 1947
Raymond Russell Lomax, photo developed 3 September 1947. He lived in Clark Township, Perry County, Indiana in the 1920 Census, but he most likely was living in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana in the photo. Russell was born 16 September 1890 in Bristow, Clark Township, Perry County, Indiana, and he died 5 November 1963 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana. His parents are Dr. William Paul Lomax and Hettie Ann Dugan. He married Carrie Azalea Bruce, the daughter of William Edward Bruce and Edna Luemma Nichols, on 22 December 1914 in Lake County, Indiana. His children are William Bruce Lomax, Jack Claudius Lomax, Mary "Skip" Eileen Lomax, and Russell "Buddy" Ellis Lomax. He ran a grocery store in Evansville with Buddy serving as his butcher. -Bill E. Dr. Nicholas August James is my husband’s (James Kunard) first cousin, twice removed. I have a copy of his graduation photo from the University of Louisville …a handsome man.
